KLM: Compensation for Flight Delays and Cancellations

Travelers are allowed to claim compensation for canceled flight tickets of the KLM flights. But, certain circumstances will be applicable to get the best value of the compensation.  passengers are allowed to get the compensation of 750 US dollars or 600 Euros. 

• Passengers can claim the compensation amount after submission of the refund request. But, passengers need to submit the details of the canceled flight along with documents. 
• To get compensation, just open the KLM website through any desired web browser or mobile app then, raise the refund request using the manage booking section. 

KLM canceled and Delayed Flight Compensation

• As per the EU regulation law, any passenger will get the opportunity to place a compensation request for their canceled or delayed flight.
• The compensation amount will count from delayed or canceled distance from the destination place as well as KLM flight should be canceled within 14 days of the scheduled departure of the flight time.
• If the flight has been delayed more than 3 hours then, passengers are allowed to claim their compensation.
• If the flight has been disrupted or delayed due to weather conditions or other reasons. In that case, compensation will not be applicable.

KLM Compensation Policy

To get complete visibility of the KLM Compensation, just read the actual policy of KLM Air. 

• The flight must depart from any European Airport outside of the European country then, the compensation will not work.
• The compensation amount will not be provided if the flight has been canceled due to any natural or manmade disaster such as an airline industry strike, bad weather, technical reasons, ACT not visibility, or other similar issues but, the traveler must speak to customer service to know the actual reason for the cancellation  
• The compensation amount will take around 50 to 60 days after submitting the refund request. 

If the flight was canceled when it departed from European airport and before reaching your place it was canceled due to any reason then, you will be eligible to claim compensation. Such as: 

• If the KLM flight has covered 1500 km, then 250 Euro will be per person.
• If the KLM internal flight is over 1500 km, then 400 Euros will be per person.
• If the KLM non-internal flight is over between 1,500 & and 3500 km, then 400 euros will be per person.
• If the KLM international flights are over 3500 km, then 600 euros will be per person.
